Greek oats with caramalised banana

Our Just Greek is as thick ‘n’ creamy as it gets, and can be seriously addictive *drool*. Grab a tub this weekend and give this amazing recipe a go!

 

Greek Winter Oats with Caramelised banana

Okay, so you’ll need….
Oats:
2 cups oats
2 cups water
1 cup Greek yoghurt
1/2 cup dates roughly chopped
1 tablespoon of maple syrup
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon of ginger

Caramelised bananas:
1 teaspoon of coconut oil
2 bananas
1 tablespoon of sugar or coconut sugar
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

 

Now you just need to…
1. Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a simmer over a medium heat. Reduce temperature slightly and continue to cook for 5-10 minutes depending on what oats were used. Once all moister has been absorbed remove from the heat and cover with a lid.

2.To make the caramelised bananas, melt coconut oil in a frying pan and slice the bananas lengthways or into coins. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl then toss the bananas to coat. Place the bananas in the frying pan to cook for 2-3 minutes each side until golden brown.

3. Serve the bananas on top of the oatmeal and top with a large dollop of Greek yoghurt and extra toppings of your choice.
